The Wieger StG-940 was an East German series of AK derivative assault rifles intended for sales after the-then reunified German forces. The StG-940 was chambered in the 5.56x45mm NATO and as the StG-942 in 5.45x39mm M74 round. The weapon was not officially adopted but tested by the Bundeswehr.
