The Harry Elkins Widener Memorial Library honoring Harry Elkins Widener (died 1912) and holding some three million books is the centerpiece of the Harvard University Library system.At its heart the Widener Memorial Room houses theHarry Elkins Widener Collectionthe precious group of rare and wonderfully interesting books brought together by Mr. Widener to which was later added one of the few perfect Gutenberg Biblesa gift of the Widener family in 1944.
