Westfield Hawthorn formerly Hawthorn Center is a shopping mall in Vernon Hills Illinois. Its four anchor stores are Carson Pirie Scott J. C. Penney Macy’s and Sears. The Marshall Field’s store was renamed Macy’s on September 9 2006.The mall sits on land formerly occupied by the Hawthorn Mellody Dairy which was owned by the Cuneo family. Its original anchors included Lord & Taylor which closed in 1990 and sold its store to Carson Pirie Scott.
