Wei Chen is a Canadian television and radio journalist. She has worked for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and its main rival CTV. In 2003 Chen surprised many by leaving CTV where she was a national correspondent to work for a new local station called Toronto 1 (now called SunTV) where she would host the station’s morning news program.The program Toronto Today was a failure; ratings were low. It was cancelled after only eight months on the air.
