The Watan Party of Afghanistan (Persian: حزب وطن افغانستان) is a political party in Afghanistan. It was founded a 28 June 1997 in Munich Germany as a continuation of the PDPA/Democratic Watan Party of Mohammad Najibullah which was founded in 1990. The Munich conference elected Muhammad Isa Jassur as the leader of the party. The party held its second congress in Frankfurt/Main in 2000.
