Walter Herbert Rice (born 1937) is a United States federal judge.Rice was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University in 1958 and a joint J.D./M.B.A. degree from Columbia University in 1962. Rice was in private practice in Dayton Ohio in 1963 before serving as assistant county prosecutor of Montgomery County from 1964 to 1966.
