Walter Green Penty (19 June 1852 – 23 January 1902) was an architect working in York England and the father of Arthur Penty (1875–1937) and Frederick Thomas Penty (born 1879) both architects. He was born in Gate Fulford. Walter was also the father of George Victor Penty (1885-1967). George emigrated to Australia to pursue a career in the wool industry.Penty’s first commission was the Burnholme Social Club in Heworth York.
