The WAGR L class was a class of light axle load steam locomotives used by the Western Australian Government Railways (WAGR) between 1924 and 1958. The L class’s wheel arrangement was 4-6-2.A total of 20 L class engines were built by the WAGR’s Midland Railway Workshops in 1924โ€“1925. Each was a rebuild of an Ec class locomotive originally built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia Pennsylvania USA in 1901.
