Vortioxetine (vor-tye-OX-e-teen trade name Brintellix previously known as Lu AA21004) is an atypical antidepressant made by Lundbeck and Takeda. On September 30 2013 it was approved by the U.S. FDA for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) in adults.
