Vindhyachal Thermal Power Station is located in Singrauli district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The power station is one of the coal based power stations of NTPC and it is one of the largest power stations in India with installed capacity of 4260 MW. The coal for the power plant is sourced from Nigahi mines. Source of water for the power plant is discharge canal of Singrauli Super Thermal Power Station.
