Vincent Vin Sullivan (June 5 1911- February 3 1999) was a pioneering American comic book editor artist and publisher.As an editor for National Allied Publications the future DC Comics he was responsible for buying Superman from creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster[citation needed] and edited that archetypcal superhero in his first appearance in Action Comics #1 (1938) and in the following year’s Superman the first American comic book devoted to a single character.
