George Ivan Morrison OBE (generally known as Van Morrison) (born 31 August 1945) is a Northern Irish Grammy Award-winning singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has been a professional musician since the late 1950s. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003.
