Valencian (/vəˈlɛnsiən/ or /vəˈlɛnʃən/; endonym: valencià) is the variety of the Catalan language as spoken in the Valencian Community in Spain where it is the traditional language and co-official with Spanish. A standardized form exists based on the Southern Valencian subdialect.Valencian belongs to the Western group of Catalan dialects.
