Uwe Daßler (born 11 February 1967 in Ebersbach Saxony) also spelled Uwe Dassler is a former middle- and long-distance freestyle swimmer from Germany who won three medals for the GDR at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul South Korea. He was European champion in the 400 m freestyle in 1985 and 1987.At the 1988 Olympics Daßler set the men’s 400 freestyle world record in winning the event in 3:46.95.
