Tom Lovat was the 11th professional head coach of the University of Utah Utes football team. His tenure lasted three seasons from 1974–1976 during which the Utes went 5–28 and made no bowl appearances. His win percentage of .152 is the worst among Utah head coaches (with the exception of Walter Shoup who only coached one game in 1895.)
