Dean Cromwell coached the University of Southern California’s football team during two non-consecutive tenures in 1909 to 1910 and 1916 to 1918. He was the only coach to oversee the USC team under both the Methodist and Trojan nicknames. He compiled a record of 21–8–6 and was succeeded by Gus Henderson.
