The Urupampa mountain range (Quechua uru spider pampa a plain spider plain hispanicized spelling Urubamba) lies in the Cusco Region in Peru. It extends in a northwesterly direction between 13°08′ and 13°17’S and 71°58′ and 72°16’W for about 30 km.The highest mountain in the range is the Sawasiray (Qullqi Cruz) at 5818 metres (19088 ft).
