Upsilon Andromedae (υ Andromedae υ And) is a binary star located approximately 44 light-years from Earth in the constellation Andromeda. The primary star (Upsilon Andromedae A) is an F-type main-sequence star that is somewhat younger than the Sun. The second star (Upsilon Andromedae B) is a red dwarf in a wide orbit around the primary.As of 2010 four confirmed exoplanets are known to orbit the primary star. All four are likely to be jovian planets that are comparable in size to Jupiter.
