The United States Senate election of 1904 was an election which coincided with President Theodore Roosevelt’s landslide re-election and which had the Republican Party gain one seat in the United States Senate.As this election was prior to ratification of the seventeenth amendment Senators were chosen by State legislatures.The Silver Republican Party had dissolved and their two Senate seats went to the Republicans yielding an aggregate gain of three seats.
