The 1936 United States presidential election in Pennsylvania took place on November 3 1936 throughout the continuous 48 states. Voters chose 36 representatives or electors to the Electoral College who voted for President and Vice President.Pennsylvania voted for the Democratic nominee President Franklin D. Roosevelt over the Republican nominee Kansas Governor Alf Landon. Roosevelt was the first Democrat to win Pennsylvania since James Buchanan in 1856.
