The 2008 United States presidential election in New York took place on November 4 2008 throughout all 50 states and D.C. which was part of the 2008 United States presidential election. Voters chose 31 representatives or electors to the Electoral College who voted for President and Vice President.New York was won by Democratic nominee Barack Obama with a 26.9% margin of victory. Obama took 62.88% of the vote to McCain’s 36.03%.
