The 1936 United States presidential election in New York took place on November 3 1936. All contemporary 48 states were part of the 1936 United States presidential election. New York voters chose 47 electors to the Electoral College which selected the President and Vice President. New York was won by incumbent Democratic President Franklin D. Roosevelt of New York who was running against Republican Governor of Kansas Alf Landon.
