Voters chose ten representatives or electors to the Electoral College who voted for President and Vice President.Maryland was won by incumbent President Ronald Reagan (R-California) with 52.51% of the popular vote over former Vice President Walter Mondale (D-Minnesota) with 47.02% of the popular vote a decisive 5.49% margin.
