Voters chose 8 representatives or electors to the Electoral College who voted for President and Vice President.Connecticut was won by Vice President Al Gore by a 17.5% margin of victory. Gore’s vice presidential running mate Joe Lieberman had been a U.S. Senator from Connecticut since 1989.
