The United States presidential election in Alabama 1960 was held on November 8 1960. In Alabama the Democratic Party had a mixed slate of electors with 5 Electors pledged to vote for John F. Kennedy who had won the popular vote with 56.39% to Richard Nixon’s 42.16% and 6 Electors being unpledged. All Unpledged Electors cast their vote for Harry F. Byrd.
