The United States gubernatorial elections of 2012 were held in eleven states and two territories concurrent with other elections during the United States General election of 2012. In addition a recall election for Wisconsin was held on June 5. Of the eight Democratic and four Republican seats contested only that of North Carolina changed party hands giving the Republicans a net gain of one governorship.
