United Democratic Front (UDF) is an alliance of political parties of Kerala state in India created by the prominent Congress party leader Shri. K. Karunakaran in the 1970s. Since its formation the coalition has sustained itself on the support from different social caste and religious groups as a powerful bloc to take on CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front(LDF).
