Union Progress and Democracy (Spanish: Unión Progreso y Democracia [uˈnjon pɾoˈɣɾeso i ðemoˈkɾaθja] official abbreviation UPyD [upeiˈðe] occasionally referred to as UPD [upeˈðe]) is a Spanish political party founded in September 2007.It is a socially liberal party which rejects nationalism in all its forms including the separatist Basque and Catalan movements Spanish nationalism or any nationalism. It wants to change the electoral law for a more proportional one.
