The hybrid elm cultivar Ulmus × hollandica ‘Wredei’ [1] is believed to be a sport of the ‘Aurea’ form of the cultivar ‘Dampieri’. The tree originated at the Alt-Gelow Arboretum near Potsdam Germany in 1875.
