TZ Arietis is the variable star designation for a red dwarf star in the northern constellation of Aries. With an apparent visual magnitude of 12.298 is too faint to be seen by the naked eye although it lies relatively close to our Sun at a distance of about 14.7 light-years (4.5 parsecs). It is a flare star which means it can suddenly increase in brightness for short periods of time.
