Tusitala is a spider genus of the Salticidae family (jumping spiders). It is also a word in the Samoan language which means ‘writer of stories’. Tusitala was the name used by the Samoan people for Robert Louis Stevenson who lived the last four years of his life in Samoa and is buried on Mount Vaea.
