Tsvetana Pironkova (Bulgarian: Цветана Кирилова Пиронкова) (born 13 September 1987) is a top-50 Bulgarian tennis player and the current #1 Bulgarian female player. As of April 2014 she is ranked world no. 41 by the WTA. Pironkova is right-handed and plays with a two-handed backhand. She is best known for reaching the semifinals of Wimbledon in 2010 and for defeating Venus Williams three times at Grand Slam tournaments. She has won one WTA title and six ITF titles in her career.
