The Toronto Grey and Bruce Railway was chartered in 1868 to build a narrow gauge railway from Toronto to Grey and Bruce Counties in Ontario Canada.Early development of railways in the Province of Canada which consisted of Lower Canada (Quebec) and Upper Canada (Ontario) was delayed by lack of capital and industrial infrastructure.
