Tony Gallegos is an American businessman and politician of Mexican descent.Prior to joining the civil service Gallegos worked at the Douglas Aircraft Company in California in a number of managerial positions. During the 1980s he served two terms as a Reagan appointee to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and President Bush later extended his appointment to a third term. When Bill Clinton selected him as chairperson he became the commission’s first Hispanic leader.
