The Tobu 8000 series (東武8000系 Tōbu 8000-kei) is a commuter electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by the private railway operator Tobu Railway in Japan since 1963.A total of 712 vehicles were built between 1963 and 1983 making this the most numerous EMU type operated by any private railway operator in Japan.
