The Second of May 1808 also known as The Charge of the Mamelukes (in Spanish: El 2 de mayo de 1808 en Madrid or La lucha con los mamelucos) is a painting by the Spanish painter Francisco Goya. It is a companion to the painting The Third of May 1808 and is set in the Calle de Alcalá near Puerta del Sol Madrid during the Dos de Mayo Uprising.
