The Mole: The Next Betrayal (also referred to as Mole 2: The Next Betrayal and simply Mole 2) was the second season of the American version of The Mole produced by Stone Stanley Entertainment. The second season featured a team of 14 players one of whom was the Mole.The season debuted in September 2001 on Friday nights on ABC. However after three weeks it was put on hiatus with disappointing ratings in the wake of 9/11 and the Friday night death slot to blame.
