The 2011 edition of The Headies (formerly called The Hip Hop World Awards) was hosted by Rita Dominic and eLDee. It was held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island Lagos on October 22 2011. 2 Face Idibia was the biggest awardee of the night winning the Best R&B/Pop Album Album of the Year and Artiste of the Year awards. Darey took home the Best R&B Single and Recording of the Year plaques for his song The Way You Are.
