The Cloud Dream of the Nine (九雲夢 Hangul 구운몽) by Kim Manjung is a 17th Century Korean novel set in Tang Dynasty China. It was the first literary work of Korea to be translated into English by James Scarth Gale in 1922. Richard Rutt’s translation is entitled A Nine Cloud Dream.It is not known whether the Cloud Dream of the Nine was written in Chinese and translated into Korean or vice versa.
