Tenacious (1954-1967) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse who was one of the most popular ever to compete in New Orleans Louisiana. In 1966 Fair Grounds Race Course inaugurated the Tenacious Handicap in his honor and on his death in 1967 a memorial plaque was installed in the track’s infield and following its creation in 1971 he was inducted in the Fair Grounds Hall of Fame.Tenacious was bred and raced by Dorothy Dorsett Brown wife of Joe W.
