In Greek mythology Teleon (Τελέων gen. Τελέοντος) was known as the father of two of the Argonauts Butes and Eribotes. Hyginus names Zeuxippe daughter of the river god Eridanos as his spouse and mother of Butes. Apollonius describes Teleon as virtuous (ἀγαθός) but beyond that no information on this figure is available.A scholiast on Argonautica considers Teleon father of Butes and Teleon father of Eribotes to be two distinct figures.
