Thaddeus Teddy McCarthy (born 1 July 1965) is an Irish retired hurler and Gaelic footballer who played as a midfielder for the Cork senior football and hurling teams. He is regarded as one of the most iconic players in the history of Gaelic games.In an eleven-year senior inter-county playing career McCarthy played for the Cork senior hurling and football teams winning major honours with both.
