Tech noire is a specific term for a style of experimental music. It is solely electronic music and specifically relies on synthesizer. The term was first used in the late 1980s to describe the unique sound of Dada electronic music artists in Lennoxville Quebec.Tech noire is the marriage of Techno Industrial and Dark Wave music. It is being produced and distributed by Beatkamp among others. Beatkamp is a pocket record label that has its roots in Toronto Canada as well as Reykjavík Iceland.
