Elections for the House of Assembly were held in the Australian state of Tasmania on 6 May 1950.The Labor Party led by Premier Robert Cosgrove was seeking another term in office against the opposition Liberal Party who had replaced Neil Campbell with Rex Townley as leader in February 1950.
