Talcher Thermal Power Station is located in Talcher sub-division of Angul district in the Indian state of Odisha. The power plant is one of the coal based power plants of NTPC. The coal for the power plant is sourced from Jagannath Mines of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited. Source of water for the power plant is from Brahmani River.
