Takashi Yamamoto (山本 貴司 Yamamoto Takashi born July 23 1978 in Osaka) is an Olympic medal-winning swimmer from Japan who won the silver medal in the 200 m butterfly at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. He was also part of Japan’s bronze medal-winning 4 x 100 m medley relay team.Yamamoto also competed in the 100 m butterfly event and qualified for the semifinals but narrowly missed out on qualifying for the final. The 2004 Games were Yamamoto’s third Olympic Games.
