Tajik Tajik Persian or Tajiki (sometimes written Tadjik or Tadzhik; тоҷикӣ تاجیکی tojikī [tɔːdʒɪˈkiː]) is a variety of modern Persian spoken in Central Asia. Most speakers of Tajik live in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Tajik is the official language of Tajikistan.
