The Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Gorakhpur is a Roman Catholic diocese in India under the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church. It was erected by Pope John Paul II in 1984 through the Bull Ex quo Divinum Concilium. Mar Thomas Thuruthimattam CST was appointed bishop of Gorakhpur on July 15 2006. He was ordained bishop on October 1 2006 and assumed office on the same day.
