The Sybase Classic was a women’s professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour for twenty years from 1990 to 2009. The event was originally known as the JAL Big Apple Classic sponsored by Japan Airlines and presented by GOLF Magazine from 1990 through 2000. The software corporation Sybase began sponsoring the tournament in 2001 when it was renamed the Sybase Big Apple Classic. Big Apple was ultimately dropped from the name in 2007 when the tournament relocated from New York to New Jersey.
