Sucrose intolerance also called congenital sucrase-isomaltase deficiency (CSID) or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency is the condition in which sucrase an enzyme needed for proper metabolism of sucrose (sugar) is not produced in the small intestine. It is common among the Inupiat people.
